Stay with me because I’m betting Every Home a Monastery doesn’t mean exactly what you first think it does.

My husband and I have had numerous people ask us how monastic spirituality and practices can be incorporated in a home with a family or as an individual. Because many people who take their faith seriously seek out monastic life in some form, it is normal for questions to arise. I do not pretend to have all of the answers but I am willing to share what I have learned or am in the process of learning. This blog is my contribution to the conversation.

A little bit about me…

My family has had a unique experience of having a monastery as our place of worship for many years. I know we are not the only ones who have had this experience but from the many people who seek us out to ask us questions, I know our experience is something that interests people. I know people are looking for ways to deepen their relationship with God and one another. I know all the questions I had and my husband had when we first discovered Eastern Monasticism. My purpose in sharing our experience is only to be of help in anyway possible.
